The Boats
In 1952 Walter Boesch designed the "Prototype 500" which formed the base of all future models untill today. The 500 with a length of 5 meters was a full Mahogany planked boat with a 4 cyl 60 Bhp mid-engine. In 1964 Boesch changed from Karweel plank cosntruction to sandwich or lamination construction. The Boesch Marine Engines were based on the V8's from Crusader and gave the boats plenty of power to compete with it's Italian and American rivals.
